Joe Jenkins comes from a long line of farmers, loves to get his hands in the dirt and enjoys working with people. He uses his knowledge, creativity and expertise to make their landscape dreams come true. Joe grew up on a dairy farm in Melcher-Dallas. He stayed close to farming when he shifted from working with cows to pursuing his passion for trees and plants by studying horticulture at Des Moines Area Community College and then receiving his horticulture degree from Iowa State. After working in the industry for 15 years, Joe decided it was time to open Jenkins Garden Market.
Jenkins Garden Market is a place where people can come whether they are new to gardening or have been gardening for years. Joe loves helping anyone who is wanting to take their gardening to the next level, but can also help guide anyone who is looking for a gift or a simple plant or tree for their yard.
We have a little bit of everything for everyone at Jenkins Garden Market. We want to bring the smaller communities here the opportunity to get the great quality products with great local customer service. We’re looking forward to helping you with the next project in your yard or garden!
