Balled & Burlapped trees are field grown for a lengthy period before being prepared for transplant. They are usually dug up during the dormant season (early winter) then the root ball is wrapped in burlap and tied with twine and wire. The extended growing period prior to harvest means you can get a larger, more mature, tree than what is available among container grown options.
B&B trees can require additional handling and sometimes machinery to transplant, depending on the size of the tree. At Jenkins we will handle delivery and planting for you!
